Be a Shining Star
It's easy to be a Children's Ability Fund Shining Star and make things a little brighter for someone with a disability.
If you have a great idea for a fundraising project in your community or at the office - let us know. We'll help publicize the event and provide support.
Be creative and have fun. How about a neighborhood BBQ, garage sale or bake sale, a penny carnival at the school, or an inter-office softball challenge or golf tournament? It's a great way to get a group of people together, have a lot of fun and raise a little money to assist someone in need.

Each year we feel so fortunate to have been a part of such an incredible event. It is inspiring to be in a room filled with so many individuals passionate about their work in the medical field, all with hearts and minds set on helping others.
Thank you to the Children's Ability Fund team for their hard work and dedication to answering (mostly correctly!) the many challenging questions, and to Dr Juzer Tyebkhan and his wonderful staff for another afternoon of knowledge, laughter, and the first place donation for 2011 too!
Star Sales at: Second Cup - Calgary Trail
Vinay Aggarwal and his team from the Second Cup (Calgary Trail) have been proud supporters of the Children's Ability Fund for many years. He is dedicated to his family, a committed community partner and an active business man. Vinay owns two local Second Cups.(All of the Second Cups are independently owned and uniquely Canadian.)
Vinay began to support the Children's Ability Fund at our annual JOE FM Bowl for Children at Gateway Entertainment Center. He then became a "shining star" and sold stars to his customers to help raise funds for our charity and raise awareness of the Bowl for Children event. Last year he added the "shining star" program during his busiest time of year - Christmas. He is also a proud sponsor of our annual Tee Fore Two Golf Tournament. His prizing, coffee, breakfast, and cookies are a welcome addition to this event.
Although the monetary and in-kind gifts are commendable, it's the consistency of his gift and his genuine kind nature that makes him a true "superstar". His support of our charity and what we do is unwavering. We know we can depend on him if we need a gift, to fundraise for a campaign, to use his venue, or just simply grab a great cup of coffee.
