Group Requests
The Children's Ability Fund will consider support for a capital need required by organizations and groups in Northern Alberta working for the betterment of people with disabilities.
Some projects we have funded are:
- Sledges for the PSP (Personnel Support Program) Sledge Hockey Program at Canadian Forces Base Edmonton
- 100 Alphasmart Neos in partnership with Telus for distribution in the Edmonton Public & Catholic School Boards, and Elk Island Public & Catholic School Boards
- Trailrider for Alberta Abilities Lodges Society
- Accessible Doorway for Dogs With Wings in Edmonton
- Swimming Pool Lift (s) in Thorhild and Rocky Mountain House
- Specialized walker for Westboro School in Sherwood Park
- Hearing Assistive Devices for the Festival Place Society in Sherwood Park
- Tie Down Assemblies for vehicles at Robin Hood Association
- Sledges for the Sledges in School Program with PSA
- Equipment for the C.A.G.E. (Centre for Adapted Group and Individual Exercise)
